Running and Back
It was raining pretty hard today so I just went running at ymca. I did 5k in 23:35 which was encouraging and shows that I am getting faster. I want to try to run a 5k atleast once a week so that I can gauge my improvement. After my run I stretched and did some abs. My legs were really tight and I don't know if this was from running on the treadmill or what. Then I lifted back, 2 sets of as many pullups that I could do(8 and 5), 3 sets of 6 @ 60 pound dumbbells one-armed flat bench rows, 3 sets of 8 @ 85 pound dumbbell shrugs, and 2 sets of 6 @ 165 seated rows.

I think running a weekly timed 5k will be motivational and allow you to see the effects of your training! Don't forget how important speed training is too.
